Shaun is the face of the second generation of Chaffee Bailbonds.
Shaun is a lifelong resident of Sturgis. He and his wife, Kerry, have two adult daughters and one granddaughter. Shaun holds a bachelor’s degree in social science from Black Hills State University. Shaun became a licensed bondsman in 1998.
Shaun is the son-in-law of the late Jerry Chaffee, founder of Chaffee Bonding. Jerry began the bonding business in 1966 and instilled in Shaun the high standards of service for which the company is best known. Shaun prides himself on honesty, integrity, and professional service.
In his free time, Shaun is an avid golfer and sports enthusiast. After years of coaching his own daughters’ sports teams, he joined the coaching staff at Sturgis High School. During his 16 years as coach, Shaun earned the South Dakota Assistant Coach of the Year award four times.
Joel was born in Omaha, Nebraska and has lived in the Black Hills for over 25 years. He has been married for three years and has one son. He obtained an Associate's Degree in Business from Western Dakota Technical Institute and has worked in a business management position for the last 12 years. Joel has also served as a volunteer firefighter in Sturgis for six years. Joel strives to achieve self-efficacy in work-related situations and prides himself in his work ethic and determination to help others.
In his free time, Joel enjoys spending time with his family, being active in sports and anything outdoors. Joel is proud to be a part of a family-run bonding business and working for his father-in-law, Shaun.
